Message from the Principal
I am very honoured and excited to be leading the very first Community National School in County Wexford. This school is an inclusive school where the children’s learning is paramount and which staff, parents and community members also share in that learning in ways that are stimulating and
appropriate for 21 st century learning. I am very aware of how important family life is in their children succeeding in school and I will endeavour to create strong partnerships with parents/guardians.

Welcome to Kilnamanagh Community National School (CNS). I took on the role of principal in May 2019, of this exciting new school, the first of its kind in Co. Wexford. I have 17 years of primary school teaching experience and I have studied at Masters’ Level in education. I have accumulated 10
years of University study to date. I have taught every class level in my career and this includes teaching in an ASD setting. I have experience of teaching in London and Spain in a range of multi- cultural settings. Prior to teaching, I studied European Studies with French and Spanish and Software
Localisation (IT), having worked in IT for a time before teaching. Kilnamanagh CNS is a new and growing school serving the community. I hold children, school and their learning experiences with very high esteem. At Kilnamanagh CNS we aim to build an environment where each child’s learning, development and well-being is nurtured and catered for. Sustainable learning is a focus and we look to develop children’s skills, concepts and dispositions which will last as they grow up in life. We support the children to become happy and confident in themselves, to feel good and to develop their learning and communicating skills. We provide a caring environment which stimulates, builds and supports the child’s curiosity, resourcefulness,
capabilities and resilience. Whatever the background, nationality or Faith, every child is welcomed, respected and cherished. At Kilnamanagh CNS we promote the highest quality of teaching and learning and It is my job to guide the school towards realising its optimum potential. It is with great pleasure that we establish what I believe to be a wonderful environment for our children as they set out on their educational journey. I wish to see the children and the school flourish, where positive values and a respectful approach is evident as we as a community
collaborate and communicate on a daily- basis. Come and visit and feel the warmth of the welcome you will receive.

Yours Faithfully,

Bróna
