Back to School 23/24

We are very much looking forward to welcoming everyone back to school on Wednesday 30th August. We hope everyone has had a wonderful summer and a well-earned rest after all the hard work and busy year. We are thrilled to see our new classroom, SET room and universal toilet ready for use. This extra space is a huge benefit to the school and all its wonderful pupils. We are confidently providing excellence in education in a caring, respectful and inclusive environment, celebrating all denominations or non in a state-run school.

-Maintain a good standard of hand hygiene
-Adhere to good respiratory etiquette.
-Ensure good ventilation arrangements.
-Continue to maintain good levels of cleaning

Fáilte mór chuig Kilnamanagh CNS

Tá fáilte romhat! Kilnamanagh CNS opened in August 2019 under the patronage of the Waterford and Wexford Education and Training Board (WWETB) as a Community National School. It is the very first Community National School in County Wexford.
Our school is located about half way along the main Gorey to Wexford road, the R741. Take the turn for Rahenduff which is located just past the exit for Kilmuckridge on the opposite side of the road. Our eircode is Y25 HT63.
We started in August 2019 and were fortunate to be granted a building that was only 20 years old. Our school building is behind an old school building visible from the main road. It is nestled in the countryside with beautiful gardens, allowing plenty of space for children to play and assuring sightings of lots of different animals e.g. a wide variety of birds, rabbits or woodland creatures. We have a wonderful sensory garden and the children have had and will have opportunities to plant their own vegetables and flowers.

Kilnamanagh CNS is at the heart of the community and it is guided by core values such as equality, respect, care and community. Our school is a very happy place in which children can grow in confidence and ability, flourishing as learners and individual people. Strong partnerships with parent and the wider community are valued.

KilnamanaghCNS is committed to being an environmentally friendly and sustainable school.

We will enhance the progress being made towards this, by further reducing the school’s ecological footprint, embedding sustainable practises in our everyday lives.  We are committed to ensuring that children understand their roles and responsibilities in looking after the school environment and beyond, and how they can lead more sustainable lifestyles.

The children worked hard this first term and did us all so proud. We decided to show some of our hard work online this year for families to see. The Junior room acted out Na Trí Muc as Gaeilge and they also performed some rhymes brilliantly! Well done children.
